Sara Preston

Sara was elected President of the Board of Trustees in September 2004. Previously she served on the MMS Board as Parent Guild representative, after assuming the role of Parent Guild President in September 2001. As President of the Parent Guild, Sara helped with fundraising efforts, as well as organized other community-building initiatives within the school. Sara is currently also Treasurer for the Meadow Montessori Cub Scouts.

During the day, Sara is a manager for Ford Motor Company. Over the last 17 years, she has held various positions throughout the company in areas of Information Technology, Customer Service, Purchasing, Reengineering/Consulting, Market Research, and Marketing Strategy. She has a B.S. degree from Northwestern University, and her MBA from the University of Michigan.

Sara has two elementary children who attend Meadow Montessori (and have been there since Preschool). She is a strong believer of the Montessori philosophy and approach and is thankful that her family has the opportunity to gain this experience within our school and its community.  

In their spare time, Sara and her family enjoy going on vacation, exploring the outdoors (when it's warm out), and playing games at home by the fire (when it's cold).
