Kevin Smith

Kevin's relationship with Montessori education began in 1981 when he was two and a half years old. His love of learning was fostered under Miss Cathe's and Miss Meg's tutelage and persisted well beyond university.

Kevin attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Dartmouth College.   All three institutions having instilled in him respect for quality education, he dedicated himself to teaching foreign languages in the years after college. In the years after college, he taught English, French, and Spanish in France, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Michigan at public universities and a private high school, as well as at a non-profit organization dedicated to training teachers.   He left the University of Michigan, where he taught French in the elementary French program, in 2005 to "diversify his portfolio."

Kevin now finds himself as a teacher at Meadow Montessori in the middle school classroom.
