Carla Miller

Carla Miller has worked in the entertainment, video and meeting production business for over 25 years, beginning as a writer and videographer.

An award winning producer, Carla currently holds the position of Executive Producer at Gail & Rice, an entertainment & meeting production company in Southfield, MI and Los Angeles, CA. Carla creates and directs business meetings and corporate events with national entertainment. She works with corporate clients to manage the production process from creative proposal through final budget reconciliation.

Some of the clients she has produced national or international meetings and videos for include: ABN Amro, ARAMARK, AT&T, Bard Medical, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Chevrolet, City of Detroit, EDS, Expanets, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, GTE, Henry Ford Health Care System, IBM, InterFirst, Lucent Technologies, Qwest, Pfizer, University of Michigan, Verizon, Wyeth.

Carla earned a BA degree from Hillsdale College and an MA from Eastern Michigan University. Carla has always had an interest in education and has continued with various course studies for personal development in French language, business management, video technology, art history and dance. In addition, Carla is very interested in the education of young people and preparing them for the world of work. She has been active in mentoring students and when she served on the Board of Directors of the International Television Association, Detroit Chapter and then later as its president, Carla was responsible for instituting an internship and scholarship program for Michigan students interested in the field of telecommunications.

Carla also taught Management Communications in the MBA program of the University of Michigan School of Business and co-designed the writing entrance exam used by the School for the MBA program.

Carla is married to local business owner and CEO of Floral City Beverage, Michael Miller.

For relaxation, Carla enjoys spending time with her nieces, nephews and cats, traveling, reading, theatre, golf, and helping various charities, especially animal shelters.
