Anya McCormick

As a past graduate of Meadow Montessori School, Anya is thrilled to be a part of the Meadow Montessori community. Her history with the school began over twenty years ago when she joined one of Miss Cathe's first elementary classes at MMS. Anya's interest in teaching stems from her desire to share her love for learning with children, while being surrounded by the beautiful environment that has been created at MMS.

Anya holds a BS degree from Wayne State University, where she spent time learning about the beauty of science and how it relates to everyday life. After graduation, a number of steps eventually led her back to Meadow Montessori School, where she was given the opportunity to practice one of her favorite diversions--speaking French. She then realized that she wanted to spend more than just "French time" with the students. Anya complete both lower and upper elementary Montessori training at The Toronto Montessori Institute and is happy to return to MMS as Directress in Junior West.
